Microsoft® FrontPage® 2000 comes with it's own Form Processor which you can use to receive data entered into your form from an internet user. The downside of using Microsoft® FrontPage® 2000default form handler is, there is no way for you to receive the data via e-mail. All data entered by an Internet user will be written to a file which you must then download in order to view. If this option works for you, continue on. If you would prefer to receive the form data via e-mail, please see our custom form handler configuration.
The first step in adding a form to your Web site is quite simple. While you are in the Microsoft® FrontPage® 2000 Editor, click on Insert and choose "Form Field". There are many to choose from, as shown below:
Any of these form fields can be customized, resized, etc. by clicking on the form field with your right mouse button and then clicking on Form Field Properties.
After you have completed your form, you need to tell it what to do. Enter the data into a text file? Add the data to an HTML page that you can view later? Enter the data into some type of a delimited file for import into a database program?
Again, you'll need to use your right mouse button. Simply "right-mouse-click" on any form field (text box, radio button, etc.) and choose Form Properties.
